Fundraising Help for Registered Students

We are excited to see you at UTC. If you plan to raise funds to pay your UTC fees, follow the directions below to set up an online fundraising page on a fundraising platform called FundEasy. This page is customizable, trackable, and easy to share. Setting up this page should take less than 10 minutes. Just follow these steps:

1. Click the link below for the UTC location you will attend.

2. Click the large “Participate” button on the right side of the page and complete the short sign-up.

3. Create a username and password. You will receive a confirmation email confirming your page has been set up.

4. Customize your page (recommended but optional).

Follow the directions below to customize your page. The following spaces on your page are customizable:

  • Edit Title: You can change the title to something more personal such as “Help [Your Name] Experience UTC”

  • Edit Profile and Social Sharing: Upload a headshot

  • Check the first two boxes about “sponsors”: But do NOT check the next three boxes about “team” (we will not use this function)

  • Click “Save and Return”

  • Edit Goal: Set your goal at $949 minus what you paid at Registration (Campers pay a minimum of $100 at Registration). If you are a UTC intern your goal is $1399 minus what you paid at Registration (Interns pay a minimum of $150 at Registration). If you raise more than your goal the extra funds will help other students reach their fundraising goal. Unfortunately, UTC cannot provide travel reimbursements at this time.

  • Add Photos or Videos: We have set the default to the UTC trailer, but you can change it to a custom video or up to five photos.

  • Write a Message: Write a short welcome message about who you are and why you are trying to fundraise. Write about how you hope UTC helps you in your faith journey. You can use the sample customized giving page (see link below) as a template for what to write.

  • Write an Update: As money is sent to your account, you can add updates to this section so your donors can track your progress.

5. Share your page with friends, family, teammates, coaches, mentors, etc. Your page has a unique URL located on the right side of your page in a box with the phrase “Spread the Word” written in it. This is a shareable link for you to post on social media or send in emails or texts.

DO NOT use platforms like GoFundMe because the funds go to you, the athlete, and this may jeopardize your NCAA eligibility. You can raise funds for UTC via FundEasy because you are raising funds for the organization of Athletes in Action, a non-profit, which is allowed under NCAA rules.
