Fundraising Help for Registered Participants

HOW TO RAISE SUPPORT TO COVER CAMP REGISTRATION:

Click this LINK or the orange button at the bottom of this page to access step by step instructions and a template for how to write your fundraising text/post/letter and for ideas of who to send it to.

ONLINE GIVING:

This is the best option for raising your support to attend camp.

  • Each camper/intern is given a unique online giving number automatically through our Cru/AIA system in the confirmation email that you received when you regsitered.

  • Click on your giving link that looks similar to this “https://give.cru.org/1257179” in the email you received to view your giving page.

  • As you reach out to friends and potential donation partners make sure to share your online giving link with them. This will take them to your page where they can make a one-time donation, or recurring donations, to AIA to help fund your Ultimate Training Camp.

  • Your giving page has a generic UTC photo and basic description of the Ultimate Training Camp. You can edit your profile and add your own cover photo and info about yourself by going to http://give.cru.org/profile.html

YOUR FUNDRAISING STATUS:

To view the status of your support raising goal:

  • Go to smapp.cru.org and log in with the username and password you used to fill out an application, or register for camp

  • Click on the UTC event that you are registered for, at the top of the page. If you don't see an event please contact utc@athletesinaction.org

  • After clicking your UTC event, you will see your event details and the status of your support.

CHECKS

  • All checks must be made payable to Athletes in Action or Cru. Bring all of these with you to camp to turn when you first arrive at camp and walk through the registration line. Or you talk to your local AIA Campus Staff person about helping you with your checks (if applicable). 

As a reminder: Please DO NOT use a GoFundMe page or similar fund-raising websites. This could constitute an NCAA violation.

DO NOT use platforms like GoFundMe because the funds go directly to you, the athlete, and this may jeopardize your NCAA eligibility. You can raise funds for UTC via your own give.cru.org page, because you are raising funds for the organization of Athletes in Action, a non-profit, which is allowed under NCAA rules.
